Business Analyst/Programmer. Enhanced and maintained accounting batch and online programs,
used Micro Focus, COBOL and CICS on 486 based IBM PC to develop
and change programs to run on mainframe. Used OS/2, VX-REXX, Ami
Pro and other PC based software. Application areas included online
inquiry and online update transactions for accounting input into
nightly batch processing. Daily cycle batch system (CFO) interface
with online transaction generation. Added support systems of mail
logging and phone logging with online screens and nightly batch
processing.

Developed and implemented test plan for unit and system testing.

Consultant. Part of a team of consultants and employees converting health,
life, and long-term care policies from LIFE-COMM application software
to POLICY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CORPORATION (PMSC) software. Supported
both nightly batch COBOL and daytime on-line CICS programs. Designed
and programmed new sub-systems and individual programs, debugged
and logged existing programs, set up JCL for system. Established
additional sub-system interfaces and new daily cycle components.
IBM, Las Colinas.
Consultant. Participated in designing, programming, testing and implementing
IBM's Extended Maintenance Offering portion of Admin/Ease 6.0
project which included providing screen design specifications.
Also responsible for working with IBM personnel on confidential
formula for calculating discounts in order to produce External
Design Report. After considering numerous combinations of screens,
designed, previewed and implemented on-line screens for best usability
and quality assurance which met IBM's SAA/CUA standards.
Programmed batch and on-line routines in PL/1, DB2, and command
level CICS. Tested on-line programs using SQL, (C)EDF, and Intertest
debugging tools. Prepared and used JCL for testing batch programs.
Performed extensive tests on both on-line and batch components
as well as integrating testing. Responded within twenty-four hour
time frame to outside group requests for resolution of problems
on integration testing.
Participated in batch PL/1 maintenance work and pseudo-code design
for other projects. Coordinated training seminars for consulting
programmers and performed technical interviews for prospective
consultant programmers.
